The participants will be provided the latest and state of the art information on the epidemiology, testing, disease mechanism, holistic treatment and control and prevention strategies based on risk necessary to impart basic and correct information during patient/client counselling skills, although taught in the context of HIV testing, can be applied to other aspects of health and social interventions. They will also be updated on the latest policies and guidelines in the conduct of HIV testing in the country.

Target Professions
Medical technologists, nurses, and doctors often faced with clients seeking to be tested for HIV or needs to be offered an HIV test due to medical indications. Any health care professional or graduate of medical or allied health course interested to acquire skills on counseling for HIV testing may also participate in this training.
