Together with over 40 partner organizations, the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) Psoriasis Club participated in this year’s World Psoriasis Day (WPD) activities of Psoriasis Philippines (PsorPhil) last October 23, 2022 in the San Andres Sports Complex in Malate, Manila.
WPD is an annual celebration dedicated to people living with psoriasis and psoriatic diseases. The theme for World Psoriasis Day for 2022 is “STOP THE STIGMA NOW – United we tackle mental health!” The theme aims to draw attention to addressing psoriasis patients’ needs in terms of their mental health and well-being.
The WPD 2022 commenced with a parade attended by several PsorPhil chapters including patients and doctors. This was followed by the program proper where several contests were conducted. Aside from being awarded as the largest attending delegation this year, the RITM Psoriasis Club also bagged awards in all categories which include the following:
- Best in Festive Wear;
- 1st Place, Cheerleading Competition; and
- 3rd Place, PsorPhil’s Got Talent 2022

Several awards were also given to those who have provided exemplary support in uplifting people living with psoriasis. Dr. Danielle Marlo R. Senador was given this year’s Patients’ Choice Award for her unwavering service to RITM Psoriasis patients.
