RITM spearheads SalinSiyensiya

The Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) will be engaging with media partners through “SalinSiyensiya: Talking Science with Non-scientists” with the theme, “Debunking misconceptions about: Clinical Trials, Immunization, and Vaccination” on March 9, 2018, Friday, at The Sulô Riviera Hotel, Diliman, Quezon City.

SalinSiyensiya aims to provide an avenue for technical experts and the media to engage in a dialogue that would address the pressing questions and issues surrounding the topic of clinical trials, vaccination, and immunization.

Technical experts from World Health Organization (WHO), Department of Health (DOH), University of the Philippines – Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH), University of the Philippines (UP) and Clinical Research Organizations (ORS) will lead the learning engagement and discuss how communication plays a crucial role in the perception and behavior of the public towards national health activities and programs.

RITM continuously strives to develop new effective approaches to cope with the emerging changes in media and facilitate the people’s understanding and perception of public health research.
