MUNTINLUPA CITY—The Department of Health Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (DOH-RITM) is reiterating its call to the public to be cautious against individuals using the name/s of RITM officials to solicit monetary gain or any favor.
RITM Director Celia Carlos is warning the public regarding persons introducing themselves as Dr. Carlos, or representatives of Dr. Carlos, to solicit donations for alleged health programs, projects, and activities.
The Institute does not engage in formal or informal solicitation activities for monetary or in-kind donations. All legitimate correspondence from RITM bear the Institute’s official letterhead and are duly approved and signed by the Office of the Director.
Should the public receive questionable phone calls or text messages with a similar modus, they may verify or report the same to the RITM Public Assistance and Complaint Unit (PACU) at 8807-2631/32/37 or through the verified RITM Facebook page.
