I have been with the Medical Entomology Department of RITM for more than 10 years and currently the section head of the Insecticide Resistance Section. I have been part of various collaborative research projects including “Entomological Survey for the Elimination of Filariasis in the island of Panay”, “MONKEYBAR project: Defining the biomedical, environmental and social risk factors for human infection with Plasmodium knowlesi” and “A Study of Mosquitoes of Makiling Forest Reserve Areas with Characteristic Land Use and Survey of their Arbovirus Diversity through Vector-enabled Virome Sequencing (VEVS)” to name a few. Currently, we are carrying out the phenotypic insecticide resistance distribution profile among mosquito human disease vectors in the Philippines.
