Catherine E. Calzado graduated BS Medical Technology at the University of San Agustin and earned her Master’s degree at the University of Santo Tomas. She has been with the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine for 9 years and is currently a Science Research Specialist at the Department of Virology, performing PCR and Virus Isolation for detection of influenza and other respiratory viruses. Her research interests include influenza, adenovirus, other respiratory viruses and biosafety.
