I work as Molecular Biologist/Bacteriologist at the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine – Department of Health, Philippines, supervising the National Reference Laboratory for Invasive Bacteria Vaccine-Preventable Diseases and Molecular Bacteriology Laboratory and Research Unit of the Department. This involves detection, research, and surveillance of clinically significant bacterial pathogens. Aside from researches involving bacteria, I also conducted researches on subject like tissue engineering and bio-compatibility studies, utilizing cell cultures. Most recently, I was involved in COVID-19 related researches handling the Saliva Study (Evaluation as sample for COVID19 RT-PCR testing) and Inactivation Study (Development of Inactivation Medium).
