MERS-Cov Guide for healthcare facilities

Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) is a respiratory illness caused by a virus called Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus, or MERS-CoV.

Last February 2015, RITM confirmed and managed the first Middle East Respiratory Syndorme Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) case in the Philippines.  Five months later, RITM’s capacity to respond to MERS-CoV was tested again when a second case of MERS-CoV was detected in the country.
