FAQ: Is RITM allowed to conduct studies funded by other sources other than the Government of the Philippines?

Yes. It is the mandate of RITM to conduct research for public health. RITM researches are most often grants through competition, may be investigator-initiated, commissioned, or industry-supported.

An independent Institutional Review Board reviews requests for technical merit, compliance with international and national ethical standards and most importantly, public health relevance and alignment with the National Unified Health Research Agenda (NUHRA). It then approves and monitors research proposals following international and national guidelines.
