The RITM Clinical Research Division (CRD), through its Clinical Research Unit (CRU), encouraged staff to initiate studies within their departments during its introductory course on clinical research entitled, “Clinical Research 101”, on June 3, 2019 at the RITM Lecture Room 2&3, Training Center.
Facilitated by Dr. Rosanna Ditangco and Dr. Timothy John Dizon, the introductory course trained a total of 38 participants from various departments on formulating research questions, rationale, objectives, and research designs. Mr. Paolo Abrihan of the IQVIA also taught the participants on the basic principles of research ethics.
According to CRD OIC Chief Dr. Mari Rose de los Reyes, the division aims to increase its investigator-initiated research in place of commissioned clinical trial studies to continuously fulfill its research mandate while strengthening the Institute’s independent clinical research capacity.
