All clinical laboratories/facilities participating in the 2022 RITM NEQAS are advised about the changes in the composition of the NEQAS Malaria panel. In lieu of three (3) Giemsa-stained blood films, the panel shall be composed of three (3) sets of microscopic images taken from thick and thin malaria smears.

Participating laboratories shall receive an e-mail invitation through their NEQAS registered e-mail addresses, along with a Google Form link to the images, once the test event period has commenced.

The changes made are part of the plans to modify the mechanism for providing NEQAS Malaria panels to participating laboratories in 2023.
