PUBLIC ASSISTANCE COMPLAINTS UNIT
Public Assistance Complaints Unit (PACU) is a committee formed by virtue of RITM Office Order 074 dated January 4, 2010. PACU is intended to establish an orderly and fair method for handling disputes, discontentment of the service, and dis-enchantment between and among health care providers and clients.
HEALTH EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT STAFF
The Health Emergency Management Staff (HEMS) plays a special part in dealing with emergencies and disasters inside and outside RITM. While RITM adopts an all-hazard approach that covers all phases of the emergency/disaster cycle – from preparedness to response to recovery and rehabilitation, HEMS contributes in piecing these together. With the compliance to A.O. 168.s 2004 and A.O. 155, HEMS applies the ten essential elements known as 10P’s of health emergency management (policies, protocols, procedures and guidelines; plans; people; partnership building; program development; physical infrastructure development; practices; peso and logistics; health promotions; and package of services) to help effectively and efficiently allocate, prevent, and better manage natural, man-made, technological or societal disasters.
INFECTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL COMMITTEE
The Infection Prevention and Control Committee (IPCC) formulates, implements, and evaluates the infection control policies, guidelines, procedures, and programs of the Institution. Its activities include surveillance, training and education, protection of health care workers (HCWs), and antimicrobial stewardship.
